Camping Trips Overview
Overnight camping trips are an incredible way to experience sea kayaking and  Muscongus Bay. There is ample time for both exploration and relaxation on the islands, and sleeping out on ocean’s edge is an experience not to be forgotten. We will create a trip that is appropriate to the skills and goals of the group.  Our minimum group size is 3 and because island camping is fragile we will limit camping groups to eight. Options are available at mainland camping sites for larger groups.  Midcoast Kayak practices the Leave No Trace philosophy, which will be discussed with the group before departing.

Day One:
Meet at 9:30 to outfit boats and prepare for a day of sea kayaking and an evening of island camping.  Lunch and dinner provided.
Day Two:  Enjoy kayaking, exploring, swimming, and relaxing. Breakfast, lunch and dinner provided.
Day Three: Pack up and kayak until about mid afternoon.  Breakfast and lunch provided.

We will provide all of the food and water needed for the journey. At Midcoast Kayak you can expect a rustic backcountry camping trip, so our focus is on providing healthy and filling meals which may include:  Pasta, seafood, stir fry, burritos, deli sandwiches, eggs, oatmeal, and bagles. All meals will be organic and locally grown when possible. Midcoast kayak will also provide a number of snacks. Please let us know of any dietary restrictions or allergies.
