Midcoast Kayak is located at 47 Main Street in beautiful downtown Damariscotta, Maine.
The “Kayak Shack” is the first welcoming sign you encounter in Damariscotta upon crossing the Newcastle bridge. The Kayak Shack may be small, but it packs in all of the essential gear you will need for a safe and enjoyable paddle. Our rental fleet is waiting for you on the docks of Schooner Landing, a perfect launch to explore the Damariscotta River. Our staff at Midcoast Kayak is friendly, knowledgeable, and prepared to help you launch present and future kayak journies.

Muscongus Bay, the primary site of our touring fleet, is a sea kayaker’s paradise. This site is only open by appointment for tours or rentals so call the store at 207-563-5732 to set up a meeting time. This offers access to everything from exploring calm coves to island hopping around the bay. This facility is located in Muscongus Harbor Marina, a quiet out of the way boat harbor just two miles north of Round Pond, off of Route 32, with free parking for our guests.
