Most of our tours take place on Muscongus Bay and on the Damariscotta River, unless otherwise noted, which are located in the heart of beautiful Midcoast Maine.
If you would like to book a private tour for your group, please call the store and we will happily accommodate (pending guide availability) with advance notice.
Tours can be cancelled up to 24 hours in advance for no charge. Customers will also receive a full refund or credit in case of operator cancellation due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
The following tours are offered on a scheduled basis and can be reserved online or by calling our store.
MUSCONGUS BAY WILDLIFE TOUR $65 Kids $50 3 hours
This is a great trip for anyone who wants to spend a few hours kayaking among beautiful islands and looking for wildlife. The tour will visit scenic vistas while taking advantage of wildlife sightings which could include seals, eagles, porpoises, and more.
Offered every day at 9:00 am (except Tuesdays).
EXPLORER TOUR $80 Kids $65 4 hrs
The explorer is a bit more adventurous than the Muscongus Bay Wildlife tour. We will be paddling out to explore the islands of Muscongus Bay in search of seals, sea birds and fun. This trip will allow time for an island stop, a swim and a provided snack.
Offered at 1:00 on Thursday and Saturday.
SUNSET TOUR $60 Kids $50 2 1/2 hrs
Relax into the sights and sounds of the bay as day sets into night. This is an amazing time to be out on the water.
Offered at 5:30 on Mondays and Thursdays.
OYSTER ECOLOGY TOUR $65 Kids $50 3 hrs
Enjoy a guided kayak trip on the Damariscotta River learning about the life history of oysters and the aquaculture industry. In addition, we will take advantage of wildlife sightings along the way to learn about the ecology of the Damariscotta River. Guides will have a shucking and tasting demonstration at the end of the journey, which is included in the tour price.
Offered at 1:30 on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday.
Kids– 14 years old and younger. The minimum age is 4. Minimum age to paddle a single on tours is 13 years old. Dogs are not allowed on tours.

If you have your own group and would like to request a private trip, please call the store for scheduling information. Please note that we need advance notice for these trips and that they are scheduled upon availability of guides and instructors. A minimum group size of four is required to book private tours.

Muscongus Bay- $120 per person: Meet at our launch site in Muscongus Harbor for a full day of exploring the bay.
Thread of Life- $130 per person: We will meet at the public boat ramp in South Bristol to paddle along “the Thread of Life” from a kayak and enjoy a beautiful break on Outer Thrumcap Island.
Friendship Archipelago $135 pp: Enjoy this scenic chain of islands from the public launch at Hatchet Cove.
Muscle Ridge Islands $145 pp: Offshore paddling in an incredible cluster of islands near Owl’s Head
Damariscove Island $135 pp: Visit nature and history in this trip from Ocean Point in East Boothbay
Night Tours $65 pp: Great for full moon trips, or new moons when the bioluminescence is most visible.
CAMPING TRIPS 3 days/2 nights- $495 4 days/3 nights- $625
Muscongus Bay, scattered with small rugged islands, provides the perfect environment for our multi-day island explorations. We’ll spend our days island-hopping throughout the bay, and our evenings camped out on a remote island with a panoramic view of the ocean. You’ll see glimmering sunsets, hear the breathing of seals as they emerge from the waters near you, watch osprey hover and dive, learn to navigate the fog-shrouded rocky coast and see bioluminescent plankton light up the waters at night. All the kayaking gear will be provided, as well as experienced guides and delicious meals. There will be plenty of opportunities for you to observe the abundant wildlife in the bay and to advance your kayaking skills with the help of your guide. People with all levels of kayaking experience are welcome. Our guides will offer any needed instruction and ensure that safety is a top priority.
